Trusting God – the concept is an easy one, particularly because He is God and has our best interest at heart. We aren’t promised a life of ease, though, so how do you trust God when those storms of life really start rolling in?
The truth in my life seems to be that trusting God is an easy concept when things are running smoothly. It’s very easy to see the goodness of God when I can see the goodness in my life – when my children are getting along, when the bills are paid, when my marriage seems secure.
But life doesn’t always run that smoothly.
In my life there have been some pretty major issues that I’ve had to deal with:
*My son has special needs and struggles with various aspects of life
*Finances have been a huge problem at various times
*My marriage has gone through some severe problems
We talk about “the hits” that life hands out. I think that’s a very good way to express the way we feel when we encounter those problems, because a lot of times we aren’t just dealing with earthly issues; we are struggling with a very powerful enemy who would love nothing better than to knock us down and take us out of the fight.
Trusting God has become a very real issue in my life. I’ve had to rethink my approach to actively trusting God because those hits from the enemy sure do hurt!
They have pushed me to a point of having to truly trust God – or not trust God.
So – just how do you trust God and yet keep standing up to the enemy?
I’m sharing 3 ways to strengthen your trust in God
