I often see people sharing their favorite books, but I find it hard to choose just a few, or even to stay within one category. So, instead, I’m going to share some of the ones I’m currently reading and some of my all-time most-read books. These will have to serve as my favorite books, even if they’re only my current favorite books.
Books I’m Currently Reading:
Trusting God – by Sharon Jaynes, Gwen Smith and Mary Southerland. I’m reading through this book with a few ladies who are friends and family. It’s kind of fun to be reading through a book with others who are hundreds of miles apart!
In the Grip of Grace – by Max Lucado
You’ll Get Through This – also by Max Lucado. I love how his books are so packed with truth, yet so easy to read and understand!
The First Drop of Rain – by Leslie Parrott
An Angel, a Miracle or Simply God at Work? – by David J. Smith (my dad!) – This is such an easy read, and a great look at how God has worked in miraculous ways, and in the mundane aspects of life. (To see the book, click the title and the link will take you to where you can scroll down just a little and view the book.)
The Last Book I Read:
Some of My Most-Read Books:
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day – yes, a children’s book. 😉
Anything by Dr. Seuss
Any Curious George book
Any book in the Fancy Nancy series or the Pinkalicious series – yes, I’m mom to a young girl. 😉 But I love these books, too!
Anything related to Peter Rabbit
The Velveteen Rabbit
Hi, I’m Rebekah, and I’m a children’s-book-a-holic…. I love great literature and I think kids’ books – quality kids’ books – are the best way to grow life-long readers!
But, I know, you’d really like to know my all-time,
The Bible…it really is my favorite. You can have all the others – they bring wisdom, quality time with family, but if I have to pick just one, I’ll pick the Bible – every single time. I read a quote somewhere that says, “The Bible is the only book whose author is always with you when you read it.” How true!
