Happy Friday!
I am joining the Ultimate Blog Party, hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom. 
I am not new to blogging, but am new at this site, and have some long-range projects on which I’m working. I’m a Jesus follower, joy seeker, encourager, coffee drinker, laughter liker, worship lover, passionate teacher, life-long learner, pilgrim, perfectly imperfect, daughter, sister, wife, mother on the greatest journey - the journey to my heavenly home.
I spend a large portion of my day with my children, working on their educational activities. I consider it a great joy that they love to learn and are willing to actively participate in their education. (Makes life a LOT easier!)
I spend a lot of time writing and managing things here at the blog. Blogging, for me, has become less about informing friends and family of how we are doing, and more as a way to write what I believe God has placed on my heart. My husband is a great encouragement to me as I am actively pursuing dreams that seem so big!
My husband and I are both involved in different leadership positions and committees at church. Our small group, though, is our favorite church activity. It’s so much fun to get together with our friends each week and share together, grow together, and fellowship - which always includes food! It’s been a blessing to get to know that group of people and enjoy the bond the small group brings.
My husband and I have a son with special needs who presents a lot of challenges, but also SO much joy! I am a special ed teacher by trade, but it’s different when it’s your own child! He is teaching me to live outside my box - and not be afraid in the immense space that is “the great out there”. Turns out, it’s not usually too bad out there! But this is our journey and I am learning to love it, and realize that it really IS more about the journey than the destination.
I am looking forward to getting to know a lot of new friends through this blog party! Happy Friday!

Hi there! Nice to meet you. I’m always thrilled to meet another person of faith with a special treasure in their life! I have an 18 yo with autism and a preteen with some sort of language learning disability. He thrives in spite of it, though!
