Do you struggle with waiting? Do you find yourself in tough situations that you just can’t wait to get out of? Then, has that verse about giving thanks in all circumstances come to mind? It’s so hard to give thanks when you’re waiting for things to change.
This week I’m sharing Kristi’s post, A Lesson in Waiting - part 5, at Finding Our Feet. Kristi shares so beautifully about giving thanks in all circumstances. She shares some powerful verses that help us to focus on thankfulness, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in. If you’re struggling to give thanks in your circumstances, please hop over to read Kristi’s post. You’ll be lovingly and gently reminded that we don’t necessarily need to be thankful for the situation we’re in, but we can be thankful in the situation.
You can find Kristi on Facebook, Pinterest and G+. Stop by and be refreshed by her words and her gentle way of leading you to Jesus.

I was thinking about this morning when I read these words at my wake up call: “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. (Psalm 37:9)
I remember, nearly 15 years ago, when He told me I would speak and write for Him. I wanted it then and didn’t want to wait. No matter how I tried to talk Him out of it (we are such strange creatures), He always responded with one word: Wait. It was a struggle at first and then I found the gift of waiting. HIM. The treasure was in the waiting I didn’t wait alone. In the waiting He was doing a work of maturing, readying, correcting, pruning and preparing a heart to fully and without reservation to yield.
