But God {hope and encouragement}

Welcome back to another week of the Grace & Truth linkup! The post I’m sharing this week caught me with one word - hope. That was my word for 2014, after some traumatic situations in my life. Debbie shared some verses about hope, many of which have become words that grab my heart and remind me that God is still at work.

Debbie refers to them as the “but God” verses.

There is such encouragement in these verses, such hope, when you read them with the emphasis on those two words:

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Gen. 50:20

I love how those two words capture my attention and remind me that it is God who is at work - who is providing for us, who has the power to redeem our lives, who is our strength.

I’d encourage you to read through the verses in her post and reflect on God’s power at work in your own life and the hope He provides.

Thank you, Debbie, for sharing this post with us at Grace & Truth!
