This is the book I never intended to write.
The is the reality I never wanted to know personally.
If you told me years ago that I would endure a prolonged season of darkness in my marriage, I would not believe you. I had a strong, thriving marriage - or so I thought.
But God had work to do in our lives, and the darkness was the beginning of what would lead to our redemption. While it made no sense to us, God was going ahead of us and making the path straight.
Through His grace and mercy, our marriage is stronger than it has been!
But some days were quite dark, and at times, all hope seemed lost. God gently continued to breathe life into the brokenness, and over time, He led Jen and I to write this book. We truly know what it is to be a hurting wife, both in times of frustration and in deep hurts of the heart.
Hope for the Hurting Wife
This book is a thirty-day devotional journey that meets hurting and heartbroken wives right in the midst of a difficult marriage and gently encourages them to find hope that truly lasts.
We know many wives truly wish to avoid divorce, but the pain and suffering experienced when marriage doesn’t go as planned is very real. Through personal stories of heartache and scriptural insight, we address topics such as:
•Moving forward after trauma
•Loving even when you feel unloved
•Protecting your heart
•Understanding the power of choice
•Trusting God while waiting for redemption
Hope. Courage. Confidence.
It’s never too late to experience these realities, even in a troubled marriage!
Whether you’re newly married, or if you’ve been married for decades, you will find hope in these pages. You may be experiencing frustration or an all-out battle for your marriage. We’ve been there, too, and we desire to share the hope God has placed in our hearts.

A little bit about us:
Grown missionary kid, mother of four, and wife to a church planter, Jen Stults is a work-in-progress woman who seeks to find confidence in Christ alone.
