    • That’s so true – many ups and downs. This is a great list that Beth has put together, and can be tailored for our individual marriages. Thank you, Ayanna!

  • This is great, because often the reasons people give for leaving a troubled marriage are all about feelings and convenience. Thanks for turning hearts toward truth as a foundation for solid relationships.

    • That’s really true – the lack of feelings, the lack of convenience are among the top reasons I hear as well. It’s frustrating because God created us for more than just feelings and convenience and we know that our heart can be deceitful. Thank you, Michele!

  • The power of God’s Word is something far too often used as a last resort for some, but oh the beauty it will bring to your heart and marriage if we will just let it!! Thank you Beth for providing scripture to Stand On for all marriages no matter what season we are in.

    • So true – and somehow we have to get out of the mentality of having prayer or study of God’s Word as a last resort. But, yes, what beauty it brings to our lives and marriages! Thank you!

  • Thanks Beth!!
What a beautiful thing to share the word of God to women like myself who are experiencing difficulty in our marriages. The scriptures do minister to us in a timely and exact manner. May God bless u richly….

    • Thank you, Millie! If you’re interested in joining our group for some additional support, please feel free to click the link at the bottom of the post to join us.

  • Shelly you are so right… you hit the nail on its head. Too often we use the word of God has a last resort. I am not sure why…but it happens. But judt a quick reminder. In Proverbs 3:5 and 6. The word of God says, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path, and lean not unto thine own understanding. That indicates that our own understanding can put us in trouble. So it is best to seek God first, wait on His response, and then we move when He says move… be bless!

    • This is so true, Millie – our own understanding is not a full understanding. God is not bound by our understanding though, thankfully! Great reminder from you and Shelley to approach the Lord in prayer, not as a last resort. Thank you!

  • What a tremendous list of scriptures Beth. I am partial to Jeremiah 29:11. I was a verse my mother quoted to me when I laid flat on my back in the hospital. It has stayed with me ever sense. God continues to prove Himself faithful in every situation. I trust His plan over my circumstances. Thank you for sharing. I know many will be blessed with these truths from God’s word. I hope you have a fantastic weekend and may God bless you and your family.

    • Thank you, Horace! Yes, I love this list that Beth has compiled. I’m continuing to pray for your health. Seeing your posts on Pinterest and seeing you at linkups reminds me to be praying for you. Blessings!

  • These are priceless scriptural verses for every one who is standing in the gap for their marriage. Thank you so much for studying them personally and posting it for us to read and meditate as well.

God’s truth need to be spoken daily in our marriage and no third person can snatch it away .

    God bless.
Visiting you from faith n friends

  • From a guy’s perspective, this is an awesome post. He says that His word will not return void. Pray these scriptures to Him, for what we sow, we reap.

My wife left me 104 days ago. She filed for divorce a few weeks ago. I have asked, and even begged her to take divorce off the table, and she refuses. Since the moment she left, divorce has been the only option she considered. Despite my attempts to let her know that what she is doing isn’t biblical (as there is no adultery), she refuses to change.

Yes, I’ve made mistakes. I’ve admitted them, and am getting help with them. We haven’t actually had a face to face conversation about it, as she only wants to text. When we have been around each other a few times, her actions, don’t match her words. This is such a strange situation, that not even our pastor, or the other pastor that I’ve talked to, understand it, or know how to deal with it.

All the sites I find are geared, and designed, towards women. Is there any men’s sites that offer support for this? I need help dealing, and someone to talk to.

Please be in prayer with me for the restoration of my marriage. I know it’s God’s will, and it hurts me so much that my wife refuses to accept that restoration is the right thing.

    God Bless,

    • Hello JMB,

Its just an attack of the devil.. Pray against any arrows fired from hell into your marriage to back fire in Jesus mighty name.. Its well with you in Jesus name. I pray for you that the Almighty God restores to you all that you have lost in Jesus name…Amen

  • Hi Becky! A beautiful go-to list of verses! Thank you so much for sharing that hope at #MomentsofHope. I have a friend in mind I am going to send this list to. Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for this blog my marriage is so broken and needs to be restored. With all these verses hearing God talking to me has giving me the strength that we need to be restored. Thank you glory to God. May God bless you all..

  • Hello, In standing for my marriage as my husband is packing his things to move back in with his mom and leave our marriage, but I know God is geater than a decision and the words his mom is speaking to him to convince him to leave our marriage..I can’t afford the home we currently live in because he is the bread winner, so I’m believing God to provide.I know God will take care of me, but My husband is in love with me, but it’s clear he is in a,spiritual battle in him mind..Please stand with me over his mind, and for this season we are in..God is working this out for my good, I just have stand and see the salvation of the Lord to restore my marriage!!@

  • Thank you for sharing these powerful Scriptures! It’s refreshing to have them right in front of me when things get a little too crazy! My favorite standing for marriage Scripture is Mark 10:9 “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

  • My husband just pack my things to my father s house i have seen thèse scripture and i know God Will settle me and.i will hold my peace

  • I find it frustrating that there isn’t something like this for husbands. I’ve been praying for my marriage for months and it still looks so bleak. I keep praying and believing but some days the grief is more than I can bear. Somehow I just keep getting up. I keep praying that we will come together. Our walk with God is what introduced us. It is fitting that it will be what opens the door to restoration. I just wish to see more resources for husbands to latch on to

    • Hi – Do you mean a group for husbands? I don’t know for sure about a group, but I know of a Facebook & Twitter page that offers support for the husband and for the wife. I actually asked about a group they run as well, and I’ll get that information to you when I hear back from them.
For now, you can find them on Facebook by searching “My Beloved is Mine”. They are a couple who have both stepped out on their marriage and God has done a redemptive work in their marriage. If you’re on Twitter you can find them @SongSix3 . Their names are Jason and Tiffani, and Jason is very open to encouraging men. They are happy to receive messages on Facebook or Twitter. Their blog is https://songsix3.org/ . I hope that helps!
I agree – I wish for more resources for husbands as well, especially in struggling marriages.
If there is a resource you need, or some specific encouragement that you are looking for, please feel free to let me know and I will work to find it, or see if it’s something I can work on my end. Thank you!
