My 500 Words

So here we are, two days into January, and like I mentioned yesterday, I don’t really make resolutions because I have a tough time keeping them.  Yesterday I read about the “My 500 Words Challenge” – a challenge for the month of January, to write 500 words each day.  It can be for a book, a blog, anything – just not email.

So here it comes – my big announcement.

I am using the My 500 Words challenge to work on a book that God has placed on my heart.  I have had the title, the theme, and the ideas for putting it all together for a long time now.  And now, with this challenge, I have the final push I need to actually spend time on it.

I have absolutely no idea if it will take the whole month of January, or if it will take longer than that, but writing at least 500 words toward it each day will certainly go far in helping me complete it.

Feel free to check in on me and make sure I’m doing my work each day.  A great place to check my progress will be on Facebook – have you joined us there yet?  Even easier, on the right hand side of the blog there is a Facebook “Like” box – just click the work “Like” and you’ll be added to the page.

I hope you’ll consider joining us over there – I try to share a lot of encouragement from many different sources, not just from my blog.  I share a little extra about my personal life, and I try to interact with everyone on a slightly deeper level than just through blog comments.

Anyway – if you are a writer, or even if you aren’t and you just need a challenge, check out the My 500 Words challenge and jump in.  And then let me know if you’re joining in – either in the comments here, or on Facebook.  I’d love to have you along for the journey on Facebook.
